Are the Doctors at (flora)mist™ Authorised Prescribers?

Yes, all the doctors at (flora)mist™ are Authorised Prescriber can issue schedule 8 prescriptions.

Consequently all the Doctors have approval from the TGA to prescribe approved and unapproved medicines to patients under specific circumstances.

Why do I need a follow-up consultation?

Your follow-up consultation is the most important part of your (flora)mist™ journey.

It's here we:

  • Check in between patient and Doctor to ensure we're managing your wellness concerns.
  • Your prescription is working for you.
  • Our opportunity to adjust your progress.
  • Address any questions you may have.
How long does my prescription last?

Following the steps through the (flora)mist™ approach, your prescription length depends the need to change your dosage and your frequency of repeats provided by your Doctor.

Follow-up consultations are required as a part of our continuity of care to manage your dosage and frequency of

If your prescription expires, you will not be able to use any unused repeats after your prescription expiry.

Is the service available Australia-wide?

Yes.

(flora)mist™ is available as a tele-health service for those located in:

  • Northern Territory
  • Western Australia
  • Victoria
  • New South Wales
  • Tasmania

If you are located in Victoria, you're welcome to visit our clinic in person. We are located in Melbourne.

Can I claim my consultation through Medicare?

No, consultations cannot be claimed through Medicare.

Is there a minimum age for a consultation?

TGA guidelines state that individuals under 18 can only access alternative medicines under the guidance of a specialist. If you are considering alternative medication and care for your child, we recommend speaking to your Doctor.
